CONSERVATION PROJECTS:

RRAFT coordinates with land management agencies to determine conservation project priorities in areas across Colorado and Utah. Our team is excited to provide customized conservation trips to help our partners meet a wide variety of stewardship goals. We offer resources for conservation work and teams of volunteers on raft-assisted trips as well as assistance in logistics and trip planning for customized projects!

  • Invasive plant species removal along riverbanks including chainsaw work
  • Species and vegetation monitoring
  • Campsite and trail maintenance
  • Scientific research and data gathering
  • General river and trash cleanup
  • Clearing of debris after floods
  • Working with private landowners to meet important land management goals and to establish better access to rivers for boaters
  • Riparian restoration work
  • Bank stabilization and erosion control
  • Public education and outreach
